The Gold Rush

The Gold Rush was a film starring Charlie Chaplin. In class we talked about how Chaplin played basically the same role in all his movies and was a captivating performer. In the movie The Gold Rush Charlie was known as "the tramp". He was an outcast that wanted to fit in.

This article can be related to the screening because google.com does not just give out doodles to any and everybody. There has to be a reason as to why, and their reason for this is because Charlie played such a pivotal role when it comes to movies. His style of visual, slapstick comedy, as well as his legendary hat and mustache made him one of the most recognizable pop icons of all time.
The movie Stagecoach in my opinion was not that great of a movie. I feel that being from a time period were we have sound and color, me trying to watch this movie and actually like it was just not going to happen. I do however enjoy the fact that this was a new experience for me. I would have never thought I would sit through an entire silent black and white movie but I did.
